Kathrin Klee - Head of Bioinformatics

Kathrin Klee completed her degree in bioinformatics at the University of Applied Sciences TH Mittelhessen. The stages of her professional career took her to HelmholtzZentrum Munich, Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry, Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research, Friedrich Wilhelms University Bonn and Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research. She worked in several international genome projects, did genomic, epigenomic and proteomic analysis, sequence and geneexpression analysis, protein function prediction and annotation, developed and coordinated high-throughput pipelines for various next-generation sequencing technologies down to single cell resolution and developed workflows for efficient data processing.
Since April 2020 she strengthens the Ark-Biodiversity team in the field of bioinformatics. As Head of Bioinformatics she is responsible for the development of new analysis methods and workflows, as well as for bioinformatics data analysis.
